Do I need a fancy PC?
16 GB RAM and any GPU made in the last 5 years runs Llama 3.1 8B + Kokoro fine. CPU-only works too. Slower TTS, but everything else is fine. Phantomline runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Can I use this on my phone?
Right now Phantomline runs on desktop. From your phone you can sign in to your account, view your project library, and manage your license. The mobile creator app is on the roadmap; the desktop studio is where you render and publish today.
How does the cloud API key work?

Is my data sent anywhere?
Local mode: nothing leaves your device. Cloud mode: your script prompt goes to your chosen provider — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or OpenRouter (your key, your account, their privacy policy). In both cases, rendered videos, audio, and analytics stay on your machine. API keys are stored only in your browser's localStorage. Anonymous error telemetry is optional and opt-in.
Can I use this commercially?
Yes. Any video you make is yours. The bundled music pack is procedurally generated and public-domain. Generated narration belongs to you. Generated visuals belong to you. Phantomline charges for the tool, not for what you make with it.
Does it run on Mac and Linux?
The desktop app is Python, so it runs anywhere Python runs. Some font paths are Windows-tuned but auto-fall-back to Mac and Linux system fonts.
Will my license expire?
Founding Lifetime: never. Creator Pro and Studio yearly: one year from purchase, renews. Monthly: 31 days, renews. Free tier: never expires. License validation is offline, so losing internet doesn't lock you out.
