Terms of Service
Plain-English terms for using Phantomline. We try not to hide things in legalese. Anything important is bolded below.
1. The license you're getting
Phantomline grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run the software on your devices. The license tier (Free, Creator Pro monthly, Creator Pro yearly, Studio, or Founding Lifetime) determines which features you can access and for how long.
Free tier: 5 video renders per month. Watermarked output. No publishing scheduler.
Creator Pro / Studio: Subscription. Unlimited renders, no watermark, full publishing tools, all advanced features. Active for as long as your subscription is paid.
Founding Lifetime: One-time payment. Grants Creator Pro tier permanently for the device(s) you activate it on. The price is locked: even if Creator Pro pricing rises later, your lifetime license is unaffected. Limited to the first 500 customers.
2. What you own
Everything you create with Phantomline belongs to you. Scripts, narration audio, generated music, video files: they're yours to use commercially without paying us a royalty. We do not claim a license to your output.
The bundled music pack ships under a public-domain dedication. You can include it in monetized YouTube videos, podcasts, films, or any other commercial work.
3. What you can't do with the software
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Phantomline software itself.
- Reverse-engineer the license validation logic to bypass tier gating.
- Use Phantomline to create content that violates law (CSAM, defamation, copyright infringement, etc.).
- Use Phantomline to create deceptive deepfakes that impersonate real people without consent.
Violating these terms terminates your license without refund.
4. Refund policy
Subscriptions (Creator Pro / Studio monthly or yearly): 7-day refund window from the purchase date, no questions asked. Email kyle@makko.ai with your purchase email.
Founding Lifetime: 14-day refund window from the purchase date. After 14 days, the lifetime license is non-refundable since it's a one-time perpetual grant.
Refunds for chargebacks initiated through your card issuer will void your license immediately.
5. Updates and feature changes
We update Phantomline regularly. Lifetime customers get all future Creator Pro updates included.
We reserve the right to change the feature set as the product evolves. We will not strip features from a tier you already paid for. We may move some advanced features to higher tiers for new customers, with your tier grandfathered in.
6. Service availability
Phantomline is local-first software. Once installed, it runs on your machine without needing our servers. If our website goes offline tomorrow, your installed copy keeps working forever. License validation is offline. No recurring DRM check.
The hosted version (phantomline.xyz) is provided "as is." We aim for high uptime but make no SLA guarantee on the marketing site or the hosted browser-mode app.
7. Liability
Phantomline is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for indirect damages: lost YouTube revenue, loss of data, missed deadlines, or third-party API failures (YouTube, Pexels, etc.). Maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Disputes are resolved in the state and federal courts of Travis County, Texas.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and law evolves. Material changes will be announced on the homepage and via email to active license holders.
